We take a bite out of good design. At Nearlife, we approach every design project with the same criteria. Each new project has to be better than the one that came before while at the same time doing something that has never been done. This might seem to be a tall order to fill. However, we succeed by listening carefully to our clients and partners and expanding their vision beyond what they thought possible.

We do this through careful understanding and articulation of the goals of the project. While this seems self-evident, it is often the most difficult part of a project to get right. Once the goals are understood we deliver concepts with the techniques and technologies that make the goals of the project a reality.

New technology is one of the most important tools we use to connect a user to one of our projects. By extending and expanding technology in the service of entertainment we continually redefine the way technology can be used to break down the barriers between what is “real” and what is “virtual”.

Every Nearlife “experience” is sculpted to best leverage technology in a way that is transparent and entertaining. However, technology is not our only, nor always our best, tool. Artists, architects, writers, user-interface designers, animators, and producers all play a role in making each Nearlife experience riveting and completely unique.

Using these techniques we create environments that are responsive to the user. Each experience is organic, having a life of its own. Infused with character, color, and sound, every Nearlife project is an unexpected extension of a world where your own body becomes the interface.
